1. Our Sacred Commitment to Your Privacy
At Pocket Pandit, we recognize that your spiritual inquiries, birth times, family Gotra, Kundali charts, and private prayer intentions represent deeply sensitive and sacred personal context. Pocket Pandit is designed with strict data minimization and no advertising monetization. Your data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and stored in access-controlled databases. We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal or spiritual data under any circumstances.
2. Information We Collect
A. Account Identity: The name and email address shared by Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, used to sign you in and keep your account secure. We never receive your Apple or Google password.
B. Birth Profiles & Family Memory: Name, date of birth, time of birth, and geographic coordinates for you and any explicitly registered family members to enable deterministic astronomical calculations.
C. Ritual & Conversational State: State-driven ritual progress (e.g. current step, substitutions), saved Muhurthams, and spiritual preferences to deliver uninterrupted ritual continuity.
D. Ephemeral Audio: If you use voice mode, audio stream segments are processed in memory for automatic speech recognition and immediately discarded; voice recordings are never stored permanently.
3. How Your Data is Used
Your data is processed strictly to:
- Calculate exact Panchang and astrological charts using NASA JPL DE440 planetary data (topocentric, Lahiri ayanamsha).
- Maintain conversation memory across sessions and resolve kinship referents (e.g. “my daughter”).
- Preserve active ritual progress across app launches.
- Enforce Shastric boundaries and prevent religious authority fabrication.
4. User Rights & Data Deletion
